Fifty Nifty Song Performance

Our class and Mrs. Hodges' kindergarten class performed the Fifty Nifty States Song at Robertson Roundup.  We are currently studying the location of the 50 states in social studies.

Science Lesson About Tides


Mr. Malcolm's 4th Grade class visited Mrs. Jones' class this week to teach them all about tides.  Mr. Malcolm noted that his students were able to teach the tide lesson in only 20 minutes, after they had studied tides for an entire week.

Landen Johnson Already An Archaeologist?

Landen has known for a long time what he wants to be when  he grows up - an archaeologist.  He was recently digging around in his backyard and discovered some sort of small animal skeleton.  He believes it is the head of a possum.   Thanks for sharing Landen!

Fire Safety - Hartford Insurance Donates Fire Hats to Our Classroom

Hartford Insurance recently donated fire hats to our classroom.  They also donated maps for each student to take home to discuss exit plans with their parents in case of  an emergency. 

Grace Stuckey - Student of the Week


Grace's favorite subject is math.  She says that she is special because she is loved.  Grace plans to be a veterinarian.

Class Visit By Mr. Franklin - Pepisco Pilot

Mr. Franklin visited our classroom this week to discuss his career as being a  pilot for the past 25 years.  The kids really enjoyed his presentation.   Mr. Franklin explained that he has flown all over the world and has been trained to fly various airplanes including the B-52 bomber while serving in the Air Force.    Mr. Franklin explained the speed of sound and the speed of light.   His son Quinton, said "I'm really proud of my dad, but I want to be a medical doctor".     Mr. Franklin presented each student with a signature souvenir ruler.    Thank you Mr. Franklin!!  Wow- we were all impressed.
